Throughout this year, this course has broadened my horizons in terms of music tunes. I’ve listened to many songs recommended by the lecturer. I have also found my style of music; it is kind of like soul music. The technique I’ve been developing is writing scores, especially fully notated scores, which represents the most significant improvement throughout the year. In addition to this, I have participated in various activities this year, such as anime composition. It was a fun experience, but the challenging part was the lack of preparation. I composed the song in a rush, meaning I didn’t have time to review and improve it. This experience taught me a valuable lesson.

  1. Arrangement song – Sunday Vibe

This is an arrangement song, originally come from the song “Close to you”.

The Original Song

2. Rhythm Assignment – Jungle

3. Free composition – Rain

4. Anime piece

5. anime piece version 2

Workshop

Practical:

This is the score that I wrote for the listener ensemble performance:

Title: “Harmonic Conversations”

Instructions:

1. Position Person A in the center.

2. Place Person B behind Person A, ready to play an instrument.

3. Position Person C in front of Person A, also prepared to play an instrument.

Round 1 (Duration: 25 seconds):

1. Person A speaks a word (5 seconds).

2. Person B responds with a musical note (5 seconds).

3. Person A follows with another word (5 seconds).

4. Person C joins the conversation with their musical notes (5 seconds).

5. Both Person B and Person C play together in harmony (5 seconds).

After Round 1, players can switch positions, and you can continue with Round 2, 3, and so on, maintaining the same timing and structure for each round. The duration of the piece is 3 minutes.
