Benson Cheung is a screen composer specializing in hybrid cinematic orchestration and ambient music for film, television, games, and animation. His musical journey started in 2022. It was rooted in a classical environment as a high school orchestra saxophonist in Hong Kong. This experience instilled a deep knowledge of classical music culture.

Benson has earned a Diploma of Music Composition from WAAPA. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Production at SAE. Benson’s sound is technically refined and also emotionally resonant. His inspirations, Austin Wintory and Joe Hisaishi, inform his focus on distinctive harmony and complex textural scoring.

Benson’s portfolio includes one animation film, a TV love reality show, four advertisements, and a game trailer re-composition. He is currently scoring a horror game. He welcomes projects that require a composer capable of blending orchestral depth with modern, ambient sophistication.
